Yarden Syrah reveals typical aromas of ripe red and black fruits, alongside aromas of smoke, earth, spices, and a hint of anise seeds. This is a typical boat wine, which excels in full body and impressive and lasting taste.
While Yaren Syrah is ready for drinking as soon as it comes out, the wine will continue to thrive in the bottle in the coming years and in proper storage conditions will be kept at its best for about a decade or more from the vintage year.
Wine and food
It is recommended to match the wine to rich dishes like beef stew, grilled lamb chops with garlic and basil, or roasted wild mushrooms with a touch of smoked sea salt.
Yarden Syrah is made entirely of Syrah grapes grown in the vineyards in the center and north of the Golan Heights, at altitudes ranging from 600-1,000 meters. The wine is aged in small French oak barrels for 18 months.
The Golan Heights Winery is located in the city of Katzrin, which is in the center of the Golan.
