The Malvasia grape is grown on the Piemonte hills that surround the town of Asti in Northwest Italy. It is naturally rich in perfumes and the production of this wine, for which only the best grapes are used, is geared toward preserving this unique aroma in the finished wine. With its hints of dark cherry, plum, and cassis flavours, with rich cinnamon, herb, and coffee notes, this wine works well with full flavoured grilled or sauced chicken, spicy fish dishes, or fruity desserts.
