Produced by blending 40% Cabernet, 40% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc, made from grapes harvested in the Golan Heights, the Upper Galilee, and the Jerusalem Hills. Cumulus produces showers, its shape causing it to be commonly known as “fluffy sheep” clouds. The wine derives its name from the Matar Vineyard and the world of meteorology, and FM its proximity to Avital Mountain, known in Arabic as “Tel Abu-Nida” – “of dew” – a name traditionally associated with the burial place of Sheikh Abu Nida, who is said to have possessed magical powers that could make rainfall. The grapes were grown in the Galilee, harvested manually, and aged for 14 months in oak barrels. This wine is characterized by a minty tone, with black-currant (Cassis) and blackberry to produce an elegant, impressive wine.
